Who uses this

Competitive Research

See what your competitors are built with. Discover their CMS, analytics stack, and hosting — then make informed decisions for your own domain.

Sales Prospecting

Selling web services? Know what a prospect's current stack looks like before your pitch. 'I see you're on WordPress without a CDN — we can help with that.'

Security Audits

Identify all third-party scripts running on a domain. Every external dependency is a potential attack surface or privacy risk.

Common questions

How does technology detection work?
We analyze the page's HTML, JavaScript sources, HTTP response headers, and meta tags for known signatures. For example, WordPress sites include 'wp-content' paths, React apps have '__next' or 'data-reactroot' attributes, and Cloudflare adds a 'cf-ray' header.
How accurate is the detection?
Very accurate for common technologies. We use multiple signals per technology and rate confidence as 'high' (2+ signals matched) or 'medium' (1 signal). Some obfuscated or heavily customized setups may be missed.
How does this compare to BuiltWith?
BuiltWith tracks more technologies (110K+) and has historical data. We detect 60+ of the most common ones instantly. For most use cases — checking a competitor or auditing a prospect — our coverage is sufficient.
Can I see version numbers?
For some technologies, yes — particularly CMS platforms that expose version info in meta generator tags (WordPress, Drupal, Ghost, Hugo). Most frameworks and analytics tools don't expose version numbers publicly.
